Blogging 101

I'm not giving lessons here, don't worry. I have a ton to learn about blogging, but one thing I have figured out is this: blogging with my students is an awesome experience. Typically when I collect and grade essays, I'm somewhat miserable. The stack never disappears and as soon as it does, there are more! As I was grading my students' blog posts, however, I had to stop for a minute... I didn't recognize what my face was doing... I was smiling.

My students are excited to be blogging (cool), and they have so much to say (even cooler), and it seems that because they know their audience is so much larger, they are writing with more meaning. They finally get that they have a voice and it deserves to be heard.
